We want you to enjoy volunteering, and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
New Volunteer Roles Available
We currently have regular, committed volunteering opportunities available. These roles are for people who can offer ongoing support and want to make a consistent impact. All volunteers must be over the age of 16.
At present, there are no one off volunteering opportunities available. This includes opportunities for individuals aged 16 and over and those volunteering as part of corporate or workplace give back programmes. These opportunities will be opening very soon, so please check back for updates.
Regular Volunteering Opportunities

Location:Â Orpington / Bromley (one volunteer per area)
Hours:Â Flexible, to support ambassador visits and store engagement
About the Role We are looking for two friendly and organised volunteers to support our existing team of supermarket ambassadors, one in Orpington and one in Bromley. In this role, you will help ensure our supermarket collection points run smoothly by assisting ambassadors with maintaining strong relationships with local stores and communicating how each store supports the foodbank’s work.
It is ideal if volunteers are able to support a supermarket that is close to where they live, making it easy and convenient to travel to the store.

About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly and caring Centre Packer to join our well-established team. This is a practical, people-focused role involving preparing bespoke food parcels, following our packing lists closely, supporting your team, and ensuring everyone who visits the foodbank receives the best possible experience.
When & Where
Day: Every Friday
Time: 12:00 – 3:30 pm
Location: Unit 7-9, Walnuts Shopping Centre, Orpington High Street, BR6 0TW

Click here – Deputy Centre Coordinator Volunteer
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and committed Deputy Centre Coordinator to support the Centre Coordinator and help keep the centre running smoothly. This is a practical, people-focused role involving opening and closing the centre, overseeing daily activity, and covering sickness and holidays when needed.

Day: Every Tuesday
Time: 9:30am – 2:00pm
Location: United Reform Church, Bromley, BR1 1RY

Click here – Customer service & fuel bank Volunteer
About the Role
As a Customer Service and Fuel Bank Voucher Volunteer, you will respond to voicemail messages from members of the public who are seeking food and practical support, including referrals to the Fuel Bank. You will provide a polite, caring, and supportive response to people in need.This role would suit someone who is confident using a computer, able to listen carefully, and comfortable speaking with people who may be in difficult situations.

Day:Â Every Friday
Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm
Location: Home based, so you will need access to a computer and a phone.
