Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. Client Delivery Driver

Bromley foodbank provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis. Without our volunteers, selflessly donating their time, we simply would not be able to support those who are in food poverty crisis.

Bromley foodbank offers vital food assistance and empathetic, hands-on help for individuals facing urgent needs. Our dedicated volunteers generously contribute their time, making it possible for us to aid individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Role Overview: We are seeking a warm, considerate individual to join our team as a client delivery driver, responsible for distributing food to those in need within the Bromley borough. A full, clean driving license and DBS check is required with a reliable vehicle, along with flexibility to assist with food parcel deliveries on Tuesdays during the day. You will be part of our team’s WhatsApp group and on call for client needs.

Details: Our emergency delivery hours are between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. With a maximum commitment of 2 hours per week.

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for compassionate and empathetic individuals with excellent customer service skills to join our team of volunteers.

We are expanding our Customer Service volunteer team to support individuals seeking assistance through food banks, as well as those reaching out for general information. This essential role helps ensure that those in need can access critical resources quickly and efficiently.

Role Overview: As a volunteer, you will commit to assisting clients every Monday from home, providing support via phone and email. Your responsibilities will include answering calls, resolving issues, and connecting clients with the appropriate food support services. You may be the first point of contact for clients, offering them vital assistance and hope.

Additional Responsibilities: Help identify fuel needs for clients with pre-paid meters who are unable to top up. If referred by Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), assist in submitting referral forms for fuel vouchers. The role requires basic computer literacy, as you will use online systems and forms to assist clients.
