Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood and driving force behind foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference in the life of someone in crisis.

Here In the Bromley Borough we are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Centre Helper

As the friendly face of the food bank, you’ll enjoy interacting with clients, offering them a warm welcome and providing caring support to those in need. You’ll prepare refreshments, such as tea and coffee, for clients coming into the centre and ensure they feel comfortable and well looked after. You’ll also provide a listening ear, helping individuals access additional services with compassion and dignity. When necessary, you may assist with computer tasks or step in to support others using the computer, ensuring everyone receives the help they need
