Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Thanks to all our volunteers for generously giving their time and energy!
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
VOLUNTEER VACANCIES
Food Bank Centre Helper ( DCS user)
As a Foodbank centre computer user, you will play a vital role in our food bank ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, and providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community.
Every Monday or Wednesday 10-3pm Oak church 345 Chipperfield Road, Kent, BR5 2LJ,
As a delivery driver or assistant buddy (going in pairs) taking food to clients, you will play a vital role in our food bank, providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community.
Our area covers the Bromley Borough, including the SE20 area. Mon- Friday positions available, between 10-3pm.

With a passion for helping others, you’ll lead a team of caring and dedicated volunteers and provide a warm and inviting welcome to people visiting the food bank. You’ll enjoy meeting and connecting with people in your local community and providing compassionate and dignified support. You’ll play a key role in organising and managing a range of activities and helping to ensure the food bank is run smoothly.
The Oak Church Centre Orpington, Wednesdays 10-2pm

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in our food bank, maintaining our distribution centres and warehouse to help and support people in crisis in the local community.

We are looking for a friendly cleaner to join our volunteer team. To pop in once a week at our Warehouse for a couple of hours to clean our facilities, including bleaching, loading up the dishwasher and unloading, hoovering and mopping, and washing down the sides and sink.

This part-time voluntary position is to assist our Volunteer Co-ordinator in managing a large number of volunteers. It is an administrative role, using the Assemble management program to maintain volunteer profiles, including training schedules and correspondence such a e-cards to celebrate events, create news articles and share upcoming events.
