The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 2,5 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
As it is National volunteers week, Bromley Borough Foodbank would like to show our appreciation for all its amazing volunteers both past, present, and those who are currently still shielding, especially as we approach our 10th year in operation this month. We are extremely grateful for your hard work, dedication. and commitment to the cause as you serve your local community in many different ways, enabling us all to provide emergency food support and essential signposting for those in financial crisis.
If you have ever been a part of the team then please feel free to comment, share a story, and give us a wave as we celebrate together.
(photo is of a few of the faces behind the scenes, though we have many more we were unable to get snaps of who are also invaluable members of the team)
